Thank you for your interest in auditioning for a GREAT show! If you’ve auditioned for us before, welcome back! If this is your first time auditioning at GREAT, we’re thrilled to have you! We are in our 27th season and are excited to add new people, new talent, and new voices to our company as well as welcome returning volunteers to our stages! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or you’ve never been on stage before, we encourage you to audition!

5-6pm – Youth Auditions – ages 8-15

10-12p – Youth Auditions – ages 8-15
12:30-4pm – Young Adult/Adult Auditions – 16+

Rehearsals: Every Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday (6-9pm) and some Saturdays (10am-3pm) starting on September 30th. Please note that not everyone is called for every rehearsal.

“There’s no place like home.”  This iconic book, made into a musical, tells the story of Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto, who are swept away in a cyclone and find themselves in a land called Oz.  Wishing to return home, she embarks on a quest to get to Emerald City to ask the Wizard for help.

 

The Wizard of Oz is a very special show that has captured the imagination and hearts of generations.  A show this big deserves a grand setting.  We are not in Kansas anymore, we are at Marshall High School Auditorium for this beloved family classic.

The company is holding auditions for “The Wizard of Oz” show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Join Dorothy Gale on an unforgettable journey as she is swept away from her Kansas farm by a cyclone and lands in the magical Land of Oz. Lost and desperate to find her way back home, Dorothy embarks on an adventure along the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz is said to grant wishes. Along the way, she befriends a Scarecrow longing for a brain, a Tin Man yearning for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion in search of courage. Together, they face challenges from the Wicked Witch of the West and discover the true meaning of friendship, bravery, and self-discovery. Filled with iconic songs like "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and beloved characters, The Wizard of Oz is a heartwarming tale for all ages that reminds us that there's no place like home. This timeless classic promises an evening of enchantment, laughter, and a touch of magic for the whole family. Don’t miss this journey to Oz! Additional info: Rehearsals: Held 3–4 evenings per week and Saturday mornings. Until May, most cast members will only be scheduled for 1-2 rehearsals per week. A detailed schedule will be provided after casting. Communication: If you are cast in a speaking role and miss three consecutive rehearsals without notice, your part will be recast. Costuming: Cast members are responsible for providing their base costume layers (e.g., plain t-shirts, tights, or leotards and comfortable, closed-toed shoes for rehearsals). Base layer needs will be determined after casting. Dress Week: Attendance at all rehearsals during the final week leading up to the show is mandatory. Performances: Attendance at all scheduled performances is mandatory. Conflicts with rehearsal or performance dates must be disclosed on your audition form. Excessive conflicts may affect casting decision

  • Auditions For The Great And Powerful Oz at TADA Theatre May 19

    Follow the yellow brick road to The TADA Theatre and be part of this summer’s fully staged, collaborative, blockbuster production that’s a magical musical treat featuring actors from TADA and youth/teen talent from the Nebraska Children’s Choir!

    The TADA Theatre is now auditioning actors working towards the same goal of connecting our community with the positive power of theatre in a safe and creative environment.

    There are two easy ways to audition.

    VIDEO AUDITION: Please send a headshot, list of stage credits and video clip of a song no longer than 2 minutes to casting@tadaproductions.info by May 31.

    IN PERSON AUDITION: Sign up for an in person audition on Sunday May 19 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm by emailing casting@tadaproductions.info. Prepare a song no longer than 2 minutes length. An accompanist will be provided.

    Roles available for actors range in ages 16-75 (some will be double cast) include: Dorothy Gale / Scarecrow / Tin Man / Cowardly Lion / Wizard/Marvel/Gatekeeper / Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch / Glinda, the Good Witch of the North / Auntie Em / Uncle Henry / Mayor of Munchkinland / Several Ozians.

    Rehearsals will begin in July 2024. All actors will not be needed every night until closer to opening. The TADA Theatre is extremely organized, distributes a calendar at the first meeting that clarifies the rehearsals each actor is needed for each day and is focused on using time management very well. Some conflicts can be worked around early in the process.
