With his family in the business of goods distribution, Shibu studied B.Tech in the mechanical branch at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur. He possesses an MBA degree in Materials Management too. After his education, he did not hesitate to join his family business, Thameens Group. At the beginning of 2010, the board of members appointed Shibu as the sole-proprietor of Thameens. Ambitious at an early age, Shibu made up his mind and produced his first project ABCD: American Born Confused Desi. The dialogues of the movie are in Malayalam. With Mamooty’s son Dulquer Salmaan, Aparna Gopinath, and Tovino Thomas in the cast, it deals with the pair of American Malayalees, who return to Kerala under some hilarious circumstances.
