Srabanti Chatterjee on her career: I don’t have any regrets

Soham Chakrabortyand Srabanti Chatterjee, who were last seen together in Birsa Dasgupta's ‘Sudhu Tomari Jonyo’, are all geared up for their next ‘Piya Re’. Directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee, it’s a romantic drama involving a struggling young man from a middle-class background and a woman coming from slum area.
While Srabanti has appeared mostly in commercial potboilers throughout her career, she is now shifting her focus more towards content oriented films like Srijit Mukherjee’s recently released ‘Uma’ where she plays a mother to a terminally ill child.There have been so many ups and downs in her acting career but Srabanti insists she has no such regrets in her professional life.
Speaking about the same the actress said, “I don’t have any regrets. Why should I? God has given me so many things to be happy. I just want to continue my good work, want to be a good human being at the end of the day. The rest depends on my fate. I believe in God and I won’t lose my faith.”
Srabanti is also excited about her upcoming ‘Piya Re’ which is releasing this Friday. She has promised an amazing love story to her audience. "You will love ‘Piya Re’. The audience will get to see a unique love story after a long time," said Srabanti.

Sooraj Pancholi, who made his presentation in Bollywood with Salman Khan's Legend in 2015, won the Filmfare Best Introduction (Male) Honor for the film. Sooraj expressed gratitude toward his fans for supporting him.

    Black is a 2005 Indian drama film co-written, directed, and co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji in lead roles, with Ayesha Kapur, Shernaz Patel and Dhritiman Chatterjee in supporting roles. The film narrates the story of Michelle (Mukerji), a deafblind woman, and her relationship with her teacher Debraj (Bachchan), an elderly alcoholic teacher who himself later develops Alzheimer's disease.

    In 2003, Bhansali announced the production of his new project, Black. Its idea first came up when he met several physically disabled children while shooting Khamoshi: The Musical in the 1990s. The story was inspired by the activist Helen Keller's life and her 1903 autobiography, The Story of My Life. Principal photography was done by Ravi K. Chandran in 100 days from mid-January to April 2004, taking place in Shimla and Film City. Omung Kumar was the production designer, while Sham Kaushal was the action director. After filming, it was edited by Bela Sehgal. The soundtrack and score were composed by Monty Sharma.

    Black released worldwide on 4 February 2005, and proved to be a commercial success at the box office with a total gross of ₹666 million (US$15.1 million), thus becoming the eighth-highest grossing Bollywood film of 2005. It received widespread critical acclaim upon release, with praise for its direction, story, screenplay, dialogues, cinematography, production design, costumes, and the performances of the cast, with major praise directed towards Bachchan and Mukherji's performances, and Bhansali's direction and screenplay.

    A recipient of numerous accolades, Black won three awards at the 53rd National Film Awards, including Best Feature Film in Hindi and Best Actor (Bachchan).     Bhaijaan Elo Re (transl. Dear Brother is Coming) is a 2018 Indian Bengali-languageaction comedy film directed by Joydip Mukherjee. The film stars Shakib Khan and Srabanti Chatterjee and Payel Sarkar in the lead roles. The cast also includes Rajatabha Dutta, Shantilal Mukherjee, Shahed Ali, Monira Mithu, Saruar Abedin and Deepa Khandakar. The film is produced by FB Ltd Productions.

    It is a remake of the Telugu film Hello Brother (1994), which in turn is inspired by the Hong Kong action comedy film Twin Dragons (1992) starring Jackie Chan, and marks the fourth collaboration between Shakib Khan and director Joydeep Mukherjee and also the second collaboration between Khan and actress Srabanti after the film Shikari, which was directed by Mukherjee.

    Plot

    Separated at birth, after 28 years Bhai and Jaan grow up to be as different from each other as can be. While Bhai is outspoken and a little bit of a troublemaker a daring costume designer, Jaan is quite shy and timid. After years of being apart, fate brings the two brothers together, and things take an interesting turn from this point.

    The soundtrack of Bhaijaan Elo Re is composed by Savvy & Dolaan Mainnakk. The first song from the soundtrack, "Baby Jaan", is sung by Nakash Aziz & Antara Mitra. The music video of "Baby Jaan" received an overwhelming response on YouTube, creating a record of becoming the fastest Bengali language music video to reach 1 million (10 lakh) views within 24 Hours. The second song from the soundtrack, "Tor Naam", also became popular among audiences in Bangladesh and West Bengal. The title track has been sung by popular Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya.
