Olufunke Ayotunde Akindele (born August 24, 1977) popularly known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa, is a Nigerian filmmaker, actress, director, producer, politician and realtor. Akindele starred in the sitcomI Need to Know from 1998 to 2002 and in 2009, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, for her role in Jenifa, which brought her to fame. Akindele reprised the role in 2011 sequel The Return of Jenifa and 2015 soft reboot television series titled Jenifa's Diary, for which she was named the Best Actress in a Comedy at the 2016 and 2017 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Akindele won the same award in 2020 and 2022, making it her fifth win for the Best Actress in a Comedy category. Akindele is the most nominated actress/filmmaker at the AMVCA and holds the record for most wins for an actress with six. She is the second director to gross over a billion naira at box office and is currently the Highest-Grossing Director in Nigerian Box Office with a total gross of over ₦4.3 billion.

In 2022, she was nominated by the People's Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, as the running mate for the 2023 Lagos state governorship election.

During the World AIDS Day commemoration in December 2024, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) appointed her as the National Goodwill Ambassador for Nigeria. Her role will be key in driving positive impact and progress in promotion of HIV prevention across Nigeria.

Ekenedilichukwu Ugochukwu Eric Nwenweh, (born 28 February 1985) professionally known as Ken Erics Ugo or simply Ken Erics is a Nigerian film and television actor, writer, producer and occasional musician. He is popularly known for his role as Ugo in the movie 'The Illiterate' alongside Tonto Dikeh and Yul Edochie. He is from Anambra State.

Early life

Ken Erics was born in Kano State, Northwest Nigeria on February 28, 1985 and is the sixth of seven children of Eric Chukwuemeka Nwenweh and Grace Ifeyinwa Nwenweh both of Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State, Southeast Nigeria. He is of Igbo descent. Erics had his primary education at Binta Mustapha Science Nursery and Primary School, Kano and his secondary education at Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) Onitsha, Anambra State. As a child, Erics showed a passion for the arts and this culminated in his admission to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, where he graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts. He also holds a master's degree in Theatre and Film studies.

Career

In 2001, as a first-year student in the university, Erics got his first movie role in the Chris Ubani directed 'direct-to-DVD' movie 'Holy Prostitute', where he played a minor role as a medical doctor with just three scenes.     Rita and Pastor Obinna are happily married and have three beautiful children. They live in perfect harmony until the day comes where Dr Harrison comes into her life to claim “his kids.” Children who have never known him as a father, but an uncle the reason being is that he is their father’s younger brother.

    40 minutes into the movie and I am just completely bored. The production is lacklustre and slow paced, just tooo GD slooooow. Even the scene where Dr Harisson confronts his brother Obinna about “his children,” a scene that was supposed to be filled with drama and tension was anticlimactic. The movie just seemed to get worse and worse as I continued watching.

    The oldest girl Chizoba looked way too old to play Rita’s daughter. They should have made her the house girl if she just had to be in the movie. She was looking about 20-24 and Rita looked to be 26-30. In another movie the two actresses could have easily been cast as roommates on campus. What a casting mishap.

    If you were not told that Chizoba was Pastor Obinna’s daughter there is no way you would have even realised. Father and daughter do not relate as such, this is especially strange considering that the family is suppos
