    I Cannot Go Back

    March 21, 2018
    Personal Response:
I did not enjoy reading I Cannot Go Back by Jimmy Snow, because the book was nothing like I expected it to be. I figured the book was about the author’s experience as a country music singer and the struggles he went through in the business. Instead, the book was about the author breaking away from the music scene and becoming a preacher. I also couldn’t relate to the story very much, but I did recognize some of the country music stars mentioned in the book.

    Plot Summary:
This book is an autobiography. It starts out from the time the author, Jimmy Snow, was born to the present day. He grew up in the show business because his father is Hank Snow, a country music star. As a teenager, he became addicted to pills, and was drunk everyday. One night on the way to a bar, his car got hit by a drunk driver running from the police. For the next four months, he couldn’t walk. In November 1957, Jimmy wanted to commit suicide, but couldn’t go through with his plan. He then realized the music industry was not for him. He attended a seminary in St. Louis, Missouri to become a preacher. He then started going on revival tours throughout the southern United States, using the skills he learned from his dad on how to entertain. After a few years, he decided to start his own church in Nashville, Tennessee to appeal to country music stars. The most famous person who came to the church was Johnny Cash. On August 9, 1974, Jimmy went to the U.S. Capitol Building and gave the opening prayer for that session of congress. That morning he met with Richard Nixon, which turned out to be Nixon’s last day as president.

    Characterization:
The main character in this book is the author: Jimmy Snow. He grew up in the country music scene in the early 1950’s. In 1957, he decided to become a preacher. He combined the tricks he had learned as a musician and applied it to his sermons. Jimmy also founded a church in Nashville, Tennessee for country musi

Born February 6, 1936  to country star Hank Snow and his wife Minnie. With famous friends like Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly, Jimmie began his way to stardom on the RCA label. But soon Jimmie Rodgers Snow committed his life to Christ. For over 30 years Jimmie pastored Nashville's Evangel Temple. The Nashville church became a familiar place of worship for many country stars.
In 2000 Jimmie finally returned to the recording studios to record a gospel album with a variety of styles. In August of 2006, Jimmie resigned his church to return to the road preaching and singing.

Jimmy Snow(born: March 5, 1990 (1990-03-05) [age 34]),formerly known as Dear Mr Atheistand Mr. Atheist, is an American ex-Mormon YouTuberand advocate for the GRSM (Gender, Romantic and Sexual Minorities) community. His content focuses on atheist issues, typically taking the form of response videosto Christian articles, videos, and other media actively promoting hate.

    Make America Straight Again Conference[]

In 2019, the Liberty Baptist Church released videos to YouTube discussing the "Make America Straight Again" conference, an anti-GRSM meeting. Mr. Atheist responded to those videos, which contained the celebration of and advocacy for government-sanctioned capital punishment for homosexual individuals. He accused Liberty Baptist Pastor Father Tommy McMurtry of violating YouTube's Terms of Service agreement, citing the calls for violence upon and death of other human beings as breaches of contract, and therefore the channels and videos should be reported and removed.

This drew criticism from some fans, who viewed Mr. Atheist's calls for these individuals as contrary to the right to free speech granted to Father McMurtry by the United States Constitution. Jimmy argued that this case is different since the Terms of Service of YouTube dictate what can and cannot be said on their platform, and calls to violence violate the TOS.

In response, Pastor Tommy McMurtry released a video about someone trying to take down the videos and channels for hate speech and violence, aggressively called Mr. Atheist "Mr. Pumpkin" to avoid using his real name, giving him that name because pumpkins are "the biggest fruit". Jimmy, took it as a compliment, calling himself "the

Those and other search conferences brought together local and national expertise and were facilitated by Dr Alistair Crombie of the Australian National University, Geoff Pryor, Penny Lockwood, Kevin Hambly and Justin Mahon. The search conferences also dealt with Land Transport, Fishing and Abalone issues, recycling human waste and the future of Barunguba / Montague Island following the controversial automation of the lighthouse. The latter conference led to agreement to have national parks supervision and a human presence on the island.
