Amanda Laura Bynes was born April 3, 1986, in the Los Angeles’ suburb Thousand Oaks. She is the one of three children to parents Rick and Lynn Bynes.

Bynes began her acting career at 7 years old in a Nestlé’s candy commercial and was later scouted while attending comedy camp at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles.
